I can't believe my last post was Christmas. I guess I've been both lazy & busy.
For months I had hoped to do an elaborate Dr. Seuss themed party for my kids to celebrate Read Across America Day and the Lorax movie premier but that kinda fell through the cracks.
My girls still wanted to give something to their friends to celebrate the day so I ended up with these Truffula Seeds.
I just took an image from the Lorax book, added "Truffula Seeds" to it and printed them. I put Berry Kix cereal in a bag, slapped on the label and called it a day.
So by a request on facebook, I am sharing it with all of you.
You can download the PDF file here.
Enjoy!
Now that's resourcefulness for you! Turned out really cute. :-)

Super cute idea but in reality it kind of contradicts the books overall message of conservation of the environment. The paper used for this takes trees! Its a great message and I'm glad you kids enjoy the book so much. Maybe you could use the cardboard from the cereal box next time for the labels? Just a thought :)
ReplyDeleteIs there anyway you can post an "edited" version and have it say Truffula Tuft instead of seeds? :)
ReplyDeleteGreat Idea.... If it were really FREE ??????
ReplyDeleteYES, they were free. I did not charge for these. However, I guess the site I used to upload the file charges now (they didn't before). Thanks for stopping by. :)

ReplyDeleteIf you really want it, you could always take a screen shot and cut/paste, like I did! ;)
ReplyDeleteHi all. I can't seem to find my original file.I apologize that I wasn't able to email it to those who asked. The image of the trees is readily available if you do a quick Google search. You can bring the image into Microsoft Word and add your text. Thanks for stopping by.
